Hooroo from Uluru

As promised, here are the photos of the inside of our van. Who would know that this belongs to a thirty year old caravan?!

We visited Coober Pedy yesterday and checked out the underground mining displays. What a funny little town! Such a mixture of shanty houses and newly built homes, old caravans and unfinished streets. But plenty of places to buy an opal! :) We camped between Coober Pedy and Marla S.A. then got up early and headed north towards the border.
Definitely the strangest thing we saw today.... What a champion!
 Yay we made it!!!
We crossed into the Northern Territory around lunchtime then decided to drive on to Yulara. We splurged and decided to camp in the packed resort/camping ground/caravan park which is only a short drive to the big rock.

 Amazing!

Hello from Pimba, South Australia!

Well, after some van troubles that left us stuck in Nyngan for five days (!!!) we were back on the road on Tuesday afternoon. We then went out through Broken Hill, across into South Australia, down to Port Augusta and back up to Pimba. Wow, we have seen some breath taking scenery. Each rise that we come over we are amazed by the size and beauty of this never ending land! We have camped for the night at Pimba S.A. and are heading for Coober Pedy tomorrow. We will then head up to Uluru and Alice Springs. We're pretty keen to get up north where it's warm but we know that is a little way off. Here are some photos of our adventure thus far.

Hit the frog and toad

So our departure date got pushed back but we've finally hit the road! We'll be heading west on the Golden Highway, then onto the Mitchell Highway heading for Cobar. More photos to follow of the inside of the caravan now that it's finished... Very cosy :)
P.S. We just got our first wave from fellow caravanners - ha ha welcome to the world of carnies!

Pimp our caravan

Well it's been a long time in the making but we are finally here and about to set off on our "trip of a lifetime"! Rewind thirteen months and you will find two very excited but unprepared amateur caravanners. We bought a 30 year old caravan thinking it needed a bit of work and as it turned out, it needed a lot of work! Here are just some of the photos we have taken on this journey.....
